A few night in a row I've been experimenting with VR glasses and tried out mobile VR experiences and games.
The theme has been relaxation and space. Most of the apps are made in Unity and by VR enthusiasts so the quality varied very much but I did find some gems, particularly with space as the main theme. I've enjoyed plenty of nightly moonwalks.
One of the "side effects" of my VR ventures were incredibly vivid and immersive dreams, both of the things I'd seen and non-vr related imagery. This surprised me quite a bit since visual content rarely triggers emotional dreams for me, unless I'm on heavy antihistamines.
I was curious to see what science said. Surprisingly I found very little, i.e. nothing substantial. Although some users seem to claim that it improved their dream quality and ability to reach lucid dreams.
So I'm conducting a small experiment I'd like you to join!
To help me out you need
1) VR glasses or Cardboard VR holder (they are cheap and easy to find)
2) Download VR games, there are plenty games/experiences for free
3) For three days, use for a minimum of 10 minutes before you go to bed.
After you've done so, please take this survey and let's investigate this together!
This will be semi flawed science as we will need a control group and just you knowing what the outcome of this test is might influence you, but some data is better than none!
